Summer get together

If you had asked me what I was longing for this summer, the answer would have been: An evening at the beach talking about surfing and meaningful topics that go beyond the surface. And what is the best way to satisfy that longing – to organise it yourself. So the Strange Seas Summer Session was born and we partnered with Polyola Surf to provide some fun and more sustainable surfboards.

Polyola Test Quiver

Polyola is a company at the forefront of sustainable surfboard blank manufacturing. Their goal is a closed-loop system where the waste that would end up in landfill after the surfboard’s life cycle is recycled. Polyola created a test quiver with well known shapers to test from longboards to shortboards. We will have a selection at our next summer session.

Come and join us

The first session took place on 19 July in a small setting, with a picnic, longboarding and talking about how we can make our surf lifestyle more sustainable. As the summer is still long, we decided to have a second summer gathering on 9 August between Plage Estagnots and Bourdaines in Seignosse in the southwest of France. You can look forward to a chilled evening enjoying the waves, the sunset and some snacks.
